A woman of about forty with a friendly, open countenance that invites conversation.
Physical Description
A woman of about forty with a friendly, open countenance that invites conversation. Her expression is perpetually eager, always leaning in, always ready with the next question.
Background
Amelia Cooper is one of Osney Grange’s two resident gossips, living with her companion Ms. Hannah Shibden in the centre of the village. She is overly friendly and garrulous, lacking empathy and struggling to read social cues. Her nosiness is not malicious in intent — she simply cannot help herself. She knows a great deal about the comings and goings of the parish and shares it freely with anyone who will listen.
