Description
A loud, chaotic market by the old harbour of Alexandria, filled with livestock and argument. Open sacks of rice and lentils stand in rows, and live chickens scream in palm-rib coops. Vendors weigh goods aggressively by hand scale.
Notable Features
- Sacks of rice and lentils, pyramids of fruit, and coops of live chickens fill the stalls.
- Smiling at a vendor here is read locally as agreement to their asking price — a costly lesson learned by the party.
Connections
Located by the old harbour of Alexandria, near Alexandria Harbor where the party later departed for Rosetta.
