Description
A muscular, shirtless master armorer in his mid-thirties to forties, working an open, steaming forge on Iron Lane in the Bara Bazaar. A boy works the bellows while he hammers glowing metal. His wares are functional and unadorned: blackened tiger claws (bagh nakh) fitted precisely to the customer’s fingertips, and katars of watered steel — sold at a fraction of what the tourist shops nearer the main lanes charge.
Background
Reached only by pushing deeper into the Bara Bazaar than the tourist-facing shops on the wide lanes — Basak of Basak & Nephew’s sent the Wentworth sisters to him once caught selling inferior decorative stock. His forge serves buyers who actually intend to use what they carry: real weapons, fitted to the individual, rather than display pieces.
