Overview
Northlake Hall is the estate of the Northlake family in Tarryford, Wiltshire. It was the site of the autumn ball and the events of The Long Corridor adventure (Regency Cthulhu, Chaosium) in Autumn 1813 — the moment the campaign expanded from solo play to a full table.

The Long Corridor
The estate contains a portal to a dark extradimensional realm inhabited by Horrors — squat, headless, fur-covered humanoids with torso-mounted eyes and fanged mouths. The portal took days to fully open.
Recovered Early History
The investigation also took the investigators to the Northlake family vault at Northlake Hall.
Campaign History
The investigators entered twice. The first expedition got out before the Horrors reached them, but one creature escaped overnight and killed sheep on the estate. The party warned the Northlake family, who prepared to flee with their daughter Elizabeth.
On the second expedition, NPC men and servants went in armed alongside the investigators. Georgiana Wentworth performed a blood ritual at an altar in the Dark Realm, closing the portal. The Horrors then descended. The armed men stopped to shoot, covering the retreat — they were killed. James Bennet was overtaken while running, dismembered and consumed — the first PC death of the campaign. His death slowed the creatures enough for the surviving investigators to escape.
The Northlake Ball
The annual autumn ball at Northlake Hall brought together the eligible gentry of Tarryford and the surrounding region. See Tarryford for the full pairing dynamics.
Campaign Significance
Northlake Hall is where the core party formed. Marina Garrick was sent here by Lord Percival Harcourt on her first Order mission. The estate and its family remain available if the party returns to England.
