Mi Go
What the PCs Know
Pinkish, fungoid, crustacean-like extraterrestrial entities roughly five feet in size with membranous wings, multiple limbs including large mantis-like fighting arms and smaller manipulative hands, and tentacled heads. They can shroud areas in unnatural darkness, entrance humans with a hypnotic buzzing, and harvest living human brains to place in metal cylinders. Their corpses dissolve into acrid sludge shortly after death.
Emma Wentworth identified them as Mi-Go, fungoid entities from Yuggoth that can transplant human brains into cylinders and transport them across space.
Seen through the lens on a metal stalk, they showed as two glowing, bulbous, winged mantis-like forms crouched on either side of the banging shutter in the godown loft, with a glowing thread stretching from the roof across the whole of Calcutta. A servant warned Havildar Pratap Singh that things walked on the rooftops at night. Their blood is acrid green ichor. Their carapace turned a dagger and a sword and a pistol ball punched through a shoulder joint without slowing one, but a poker shattered a fighting leg and tiger claws drove into the fleshy side where the small arms join.

Encounters
- Session 13 - Sundry Fittings — glimpsed through the lens in the godown loft; a man-sized one with too many limbs and wet paper wings kept pace over the esplanade and tore through the carriage roof, seizing Dr Venn until Emma Wentworth and Georgiana Wentworth drove it off with tiger claws and a poker. The one that fell from the carriage died. Of the four met that night, only the one that left through the study window survives (Keeper, 2026-10-09). In the dark drawing room of Venns Bungalow two more entranced most of the party with a buzzing; Georgiana killed the one carrying Dr Venn with her poker and the other smashed through the window slats and fled. Another attacked the godown while the party was away, leaving a bubbling remnant.
- Session 14 - A Morning of Manners and Monstrosities — carapace and wing left in the wrecked Cavendish carriage dissolved in the morning sun. Georgiana expects the survivor to come back for its makers’ work.
